How A Binding Machine Can Help Your Buisness
Each and every office really should have at least one functioning binding machine that'll do all the binding work a organization needs. If your company hasn't purchased one, then it's time to buy one. When you are searching for the ideal piece of office equipment for your office, there are several things you must make sure of before picking out any product. There are several details you need to remember in order to properly pick the most fitting machine for your laminator or binding demands.
Before you purchase any machine, the first thing you will want to think about is everything that you are going to bind and how thick it will usually be. You will find three varieties of machines available for sale today – thermal, wire, and plastic comb machines – and each of these offer a different aesthetic not to mention punching and binding functions.
Plastic comb binding is considered the most commonly used document finishing style and it is very well suited for reports and marketing materials. Normally, a document that is 500 pages can be bound using a honeycomb machine. There are several honeycomb binders built to punch 20 pages at once.
When it comes to the wire binding machine, it is a fantastic option to utilize if you would like your document to look elegant coupled with being nicely bound. And lastly, the thermal binding enables you to bind your documents in such a way that the bound product will resemble a real book. Utilizing this machine, you can have documents that are 240 pages long. You won’t need to do any punching if you use a thermal binding device, which is a substantial time saver.
You also need to find out who will use the machine, when it is going to be used, and how frequently. Of course this comes once you have seriously considered which method is the best for your organization and your documents needs. If only one individual within your office utilizes it on a fairly infrequent basis, a personal-sized device will be fine. On the other hand, if more people need it and binding jobs are done continually, you will need a better binding device to manage the amount of work.
Last of all, you will need to think about other features that will be necessary for your binding needs. Choose a device that in addition to the binding functions that it has special functions that are unique to that device and is not available on any other product in the market.
One well-known additional feature of several binding machines is the comb selection guide. This guide can come in very beneficial because picking the appropriate sized comb can be complicated.
If you are considering a thermal binding device, you may want to consider a feature known as HeatShield technology. That additional feature makes the whole thermal binding process much less dangerous.
making a memory scrapbook with photos etc how & tips?
is it best to buy a blank A4 (or what size book) and add to it or get individual bits of card as pages and make each page 1 at a time and then bind them together, if so how: punch holes then add ribbon, or use and decorate a binder or what? Also how do you stop it from getting worn and messy looking as i think putting in plastic binding pockets would ruin the effect, also sometimes when you punch holes they end up ripping and falling out of the binder, is this where using a pre made book would be better?? tips ,thoughts and advice please??
I hope the articles linked below give you a good idea and overview of papers and albums.
Standard album size is 12 x 12 inches but there are other smaller sizes also that can work well.
Then as you described, making your own. You can make mini books out of a variety of items, determine the number of pages, and bind them simply yourself without a lot of fuss or effort.
Mini-books may not require much money, or tools if you wish to remain frugal and resourceful.
Some people like the binding pockets to protect their work from oil from hands or dirt, or natural wear and tear if exposed.
Others like the tacktile effect of their pages especially if they use embellishments, pockets, mini-books on pages or any other interactive type feature.
About premade books, it may be easier but there are some books that have spiral bindings and as you pointed out, ripping and tearing can occur, just like punched hole pages, if overused or not taken care of properly.
Ideas, tips, tricks -- checkout your library for books on Scrapbooking just to get you started. There are also a few magazines on the market that give many ideas for themes, layouts, products/tools, tips, tricks etc.
Most paper lines/vendors (there are many) have websites that offer MORE ideas and use for their products.
Good luck!!!
