Network Printer compatibility issues?

I am trying to get a Konica Minolta Bizhub 600 to work with an IKON docsend unit to scan documents into Fortis document management system. The vendor of the docsend says it wont work because the Bizhub isn't using a true TWAIN ISIS driver. Is there a way to get this to work?

Get the proper driver. It will be bundled with the equipment or else you can get it downloaded from the manufacturer's site.
Install the correct driver and try to work with it
