Advance Technologies Continues To Deliver Great Results
In 1865 the first commercial fax services was introduced in Paris, 11 years before the invention of the telephone. Since then the fax machine has grown in importance until it is found in almost every office today.
This method lets people deliver and get faxes even if they don't own a fax machine, because they can use a computer and email services. Fax to email resolution is perfect for companies who must maintain a limited budget because it means they don't have to purchase or rent a fax machine. In addition, they won't have to pay to maintain it or keep buying more toner, printer cartridges or paper. And it's a better option for the environment because it significantly reduces how much paper is used, while also making it easy to keep records, since faxes are stored on the computer and it doesn't need any physical handling or storage area.
The method is ground-breaking because faxes received from a traditional fax machine, are routed through device to email servers and converted from fax to email format. The email is stamped with a date, time and an identifying receiving number. The original fax document is attached as a .tiff image or PDF file. A Windows Operating System is required to view these files. In the same way, faxes transmitted via email are converted into a fax format by the server and passed on to the recipient's fax in the original format dispatched from a traditional fax machine. A confirmation is sent to the sender's email inbox and doubles as a receipt (record keeping).
Additional hardware or software is not required. Therefore, existing email and Internet systems and software can be utilized to the fullest extent. The advantage of this technological wonder is its accessibility and capacity to send faxes globally from one computer to another without receipt limitations.
The fax to e-mail method is quicker than normal fax machines, sending them at the same sped as your online connection, which means a more effective transfer of information. The person sending the fax never has to wait for a fax signal and things like paper jams are something you never have to face again. And multiple page faxes are send instantaneously as well. In addition, this method is more secure, since faxes are delivered right to the recipient's email inbox.
No additional hardware or software is needed. Faxes can be send and received from almost any e-mail program, whether a corporate program or a personal e-mail account. All that is need is an Internet connection and an e-mail account. With it, a fax can be accessed from anywhere in the world.
"Fax to e-mail" is faster than a traditional fax. The transmission speed is hundreds of times faster than a phone line because it uses the speed of the Internet. It also eliminates problems like being unable to get a fax signal, no paper in the machine or malfunctioning machines. The technology is also much more secure, as the message can be delivered directly to a private e-mail account rather than to a public fax machine.
I have a Canon MF4350 print/scan/copy/fax. It keeps telling me to "set paper again, set toner again"?
I keep putting the toner back in and taking it out, lifting and closing the panel, but the error persists. I have also tried realigning paper several times. How can I fix this?
It sounds like you have the same Canon machine, which I have. I think I spent a few HOURS trying to set the machine up, properly. Sometimes, with electronics, set up/operation is a bit of a "magical" process. Its like software, you just have to keep trying every screwball technique that you can think of. In my case, I can follow the directions 25 times, yet only the 25th time works. You really only have two choices: Keep fiddling, until the machine accepts commands, or call technical support. Yes, these machines can have "attitudes". The question is: Which is more determined? You, to use the machine? Or the machine? Be patient and, eventually, you will wear it down. Sorry I cannot be more helpful, but I am a "dinosaur" myself, in regards to computers. I hope this helps, though.
